Oriental Beauty or Dong Fang Mei Ren (東方美人茶) also called Bai Hao is an unrolled dark Taiwanese oolong unlike any other.  Its English name, Oriental Beauty, was said to be given by Queen Elizabeth II in the early 20th century when she tasted this tea for the first time.  The tea is hand-harvested and crafted with two leaves and a bud per cluster.

A truly rare and enigmatic tea. This tea is sometimes harvested  in the beginning of the year, sometimes at the very end of the year. In short, there isn't any the common known "harvested season" for this tea, because this is a genuine Taiwanese tea wild-crafted in the very deep mountains of central Taiwan. We have no clue where it is from, nor can we be very specific about its elevation, because the tea master has not revealed any of that information. All we know is that, the tea material has to be harvested by the indigenous residents in that area since the tea trees are quite tall, tall enough that one must climb the tree to pluck the leaf.
This tea is said to carry a powerfully "mesmerizing" effect to the drinker. Until we know about the origin of this tea, for now the only way to understand it is to drink some of it, as we wait for the secret to be revealed.
